Wedding at Morais Vineyards | Ashley & Dean

Ashley & Dean’s Elegant Day

Ashley and Dean’s Morais Vineyards wedding was the perfect mix of timeless black tie style and European-inspired romance. Their celebration blended the elegance of a formal affair with the warmth of family and friends in one of Virginia’s most stunning vineyard venues.

The Ceremony by the Pond

Ashley and Dean chose the small pond ceremony site at Morais Vineyards. The long walkway to the pond was beautifully lined with blossoming trees, creating a stunning entrance as Ashley walked toward Dean. A live painter documented the ceremony in real time, giving the couple a keepsake that captured not just the moment but also the feeling of the day. With the reflection of the trees in the pond and the spring air around them, it was an unforgettable scene.

Private Vows in the Chapel

Before heading into portraits, Ashley and Dean stepped inside the small rustic chapel on the estate to exchange private vows. The quiet space gave them a chance to pause and share their words with only each other present. It was simple, intimate, and heartfelt — the perfect balance to the larger celebration outside.

Portraits at the Garden Atrium and Pond

After the chapel, family portraits took place in the garden atrium. The glass and greenery gave the space a bright, elegant atmosphere. Just behind the atrium, we walked to the second pond for couples portraits. The water, soft light, and surrounding gardens gave us timeless and romantic images that reflected their quiet joy.

A Private Pause in the Winery Room

Before heading into the reception, Ashley and Dean took a short break in the lower-level winery room. A rustic table was set just for them, decorated with elegant touches. They shared a quick meal together and had a moment to breathe, reflect, and soak it all in before stepping back into the energy of the evening. It was a beautiful way to slow down and be present with each other.

A Ballroom Celebration

The night continued in the grand ballroom, where Ashley and Dean gathered with their guests for dinner and dancing. The high ceilings, chandeliers, and Portuguese-inspired details made the room feel formal and timeless, while laughter and music filled it with warmth. It was the perfect way to close out a day that had been both deeply personal and joyfully shared.

Why Couples Love Morais Vineyards Weddings

The vineyard also serves Portuguese wines, connecting guests not just to the land but also to a tradition of winemaking that spans centuries. Couples love that Morais provides both beauty and culture, creating a wedding day that feels timeless and one-of-a-kind.
