How to create an elopement timeline

Creating an elopement timeline isn’t as difficult as you might think. You may, however, be at the beginning of planning your elopement, and kind of feeling a little uncertain of how this entire experience will play out. While you know you want to share heartfelt vows and enjoy a captivating first look, other details may remain unclear.

As your photographer, I am here to hone in on the perfect elements to make your elopement a luxurious and meaningful affair that you and your partner will never forget. Together, let’s bring your dream wedding to life surrounded only by wondrous, once-in-a-lifetime excursions like hiking, kayaking, and off-roading. Additionally, there will be momentous ceremonies and vows, special family portraits, and a resounding champagne toast to end the day in true elegance. Finally, you’ll top off the evening with a celebratory dinner or sweet dessert to make this elopement an unforgettable moment that perfectly represents the two of you.

Planning your Experience with a Curated Elopement Timeline.

As you plan your elopement, take the time to consider the entire experience. Prioritize your desires and what you two want to get out of the day. These moments will make your elopement unforgettable, so choose activities that you know will be special. If you relish in adventure, take a hike to a remarkable lake or waterfall that you can explore together. Or perhaps begin your elopement with a romantic bike ride or soaking in a hot spring. From the outset, do something that reflects your individual style and taste to make your first day of marriage truly special.

Do you have rituals that bring meaning to your relationship? Small things, like doing yoga together or having breakfast as a couple, can help you form a deeper bond. On your wedding day, honor this special bond by incorporating these little habits into your elopement timeline.

The Elements of a Timeline

As your dream elopement begins to come to life, make an outline of the significant happenings and moments you desire to have on your extraordinary day. The timeline of your elopement can include luxury events such as:

+ Being dressed to impress (getting ready photos)

+ An intimate first look

+ An exciting escape – a summit hike, kayaking/canoeing, off roading through a rugged countryside

+ Exchanging heartfelt vows

+ Capturing family moments

+ Sunset champagne toast

+ A delicious celebratory feast or dessert

Putting it all Together

Devise your dream elopement experience and I, as your guide, will ensure every detail is taken into consideration – from the timings of your hiking adventure to the precise lighting necessary to capture that perfect moment. Thoughtful touches are included, such as allowing extra time to prepare, and reserving private moments, just the two of you, regardless of the number of guests attending. I will work with you to craft the perfect timeline, allowing you to both relax and fully embrace the day! To provide a glimpse of what it looks like when all the elements come together, here is what an elopement timeline lcan look like:

10:30 – 12:00: Late morning light trail walk to a lake or a sweet walk around an historic downtown where you indulge in the yummy goodness of the different tastes of the many eateries.

12:30 – 2:00: Hang out with family at the reception campsite, or the amazing picturesque view from your AirBnb (this is a great time for me to capture candid moments, like friends lounging in hammocks, the two of you doing crossword puzzles, etc.)

2:00 – 3:30: Get ready

3:30 – 4:00: Drive to the ceremony location

4:00 – 4:30: Vows, ceremony, champagne toast

4:30 – 5:30: Couples portraits around the ceremony spot/nearby locations

5:30 – 6:00: Drive back to the reception site /AirBnb

6:00 – ONWARDS: Celebrating the day with friends, family and awesome light activities (BBQ, s’mores, dancing, speeches, etc.)
