Arguably one of the best locations for an elopement.

In the middle of 2021 I had the pleasure of providing elopement photography for one of the sweetest and cutest couples, Michael + Leona, right here in beautiful southern Maryland.

Historic St. Mary’s City has been one of the most beautiful Maryland wedding venues for some time now. They have recently built a pavilion where a tent used to go for outdoor weddings. No more renting tents, it is actually a part of the package and services that is provided. It is one of the best waterfront wedding venues in Maryland. Many open areas, small trails along the fields, and golden hour wedding photos are just to die for! It is definitely a must see when looking for something that has a rustic feel.

Leona reached out to me for a small and quick elopement. Ready with their marriage certificate in hand, they really wanted to celebrate with a portrait session that showcased their love and life together.

The two said a few words to each other to finally seal the deal, and then I guided them around Historic St. Mary’s to see all that this Maryland Waterfront Venue had to offer.

Partly cloudy skies, but the sun did come out to play a few times.
