The Belle Garden Estate in Wirtz Virginia is an amazing, historical, and vintage charmed venue to host your intimate wedding. On a rainy September day, Sham + Linsay took on a story forecast and had their wedding day with dark clouds and chilly air. Starting off the day with hair/makeup and getting ready shots, Linsay and Sham shared a special first look with each other with no one else watching. A perfect way to start the day. Soon after we got their wedding party and family photos captured. As guests were arriving the clouds came close and closer. The rumbles started to get louder and the wind picked up speed. Before anyone could walk out, the rain came down. Guests hurried to the pavilion where they waited patiently, had a few cocktails, played some music and met up with family and friends of the couple. I took this extra down time to run to the state house and capture some images with everyone inside, including grandma.
About an hour into the rain, it abruptly stopped. The couples was dead set on having an outdoor wedding so they didn’t mind the wait at all. Then, it all began and the day was a complete success.

Alejandra and Jose’s romantic Raven’s Roost elopement was picture perfect. A gorgeous and sentimental
With a Spanish flare, the couple had their elopement at Raven’s Roost Overlook in the Shenandoah Mountains of Virginia. Raven’s Roost provides the landscape and scenery, with views of the sunlit ranges that are seen at Shenandoah.
The couple decided on an elopement focus on them only. Their ideal elopement was for them to experience the moment alone. Raven’s Roost provided us with the serenity and calmness for the day that they wanted. A more relaxed way to marry. The sun provided a gorgeous warm glow that only enhanced the romantic feel of the moment.
The dress was gorgeous with flower details from East Coast Gowns. The suit was Spain inspired from a local men’s boutique. Hair was provided buy Erinn Bennet as a boho inspired look.
For their reception the couple grabbed pizza from a local pizzeria. One of the most amazing elopements that I have ever had the privledge to be a part of.
Congratulations to Alejandra & Jose.

Katelyn and John’s Kalero Vineyard Wedding was a long time coming! They complimented each other greatly as Katelyn suffered from anxiety, and John was her rock to keep her calm and to get her through life’s struggles. After rescheduling their big day once already, they got the go ahead to move forward and selected Kalero Vineyard as the venue for their ceremony and celebration. Complete with the rolling hills and valleys of Shenandoah.
The wedding day started with Katelyn and her maids upstairs of their AirBnb. If this place had a name, I would list it. It was amazing. So many things to see and do. From hanging out by the fire pit, to going on nature trails. The overlook is amazing and it provides you a peak at the amazing wonders of the Shenandoah mountains.
Hair and makeup wrapped up, and the first looks started. And let me tell you, this first look was emotional! I love getting to be part of these moments to capture what will become some of the most cherished memories from the day. Soon it was off to the vineyard to get married! The rest of the day went off without a hitch. The purest form of love that I have ever seen in a long time.
Despite a few overcast clouds, they kissed and and celebrated every step of the way down the aisle. Then, gorgeous backlit golden hour photos commence! No matter what time of day you decide to get married, make time for photos at golden hour! You will be amazed with how stunning the lighting at the end of the day is. It truly makes my couples glow!
Having your wedding at Kalero Vineyard would be a perfect option if you are looking for a rustic, mountain theme. Dress it up, or dress it down. Either way you decorate it, it will be perfectly unique and special to you.
Let me capture this moment for you one still moment at a time.
