The Wedding of Claire of Davonte at Wintergreen Resort, Virginia

After months of planning, phone calls, texts, and crazy chats, the wedding of Claire and Davonte FINALLY happened on Dec 14, 2023. The couple and I had a plan to grab an Airbnb somewhere with gorgeous views and run over to Raven’s Roost, about a 10-minute drive, for the ceremony and portraits. Unfortunately, due to the closing of Raven’s Roost where the ceremony would have taken place, the couple had to have the ceremony at their rental apartment. However, this turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as the couple still had the stunning mountain views as a backdrop, and the bonus of a warm fire to keep them comfortable in the chilly winter weather. The area was covered in glistening white snow, which perfectly matched Claire’s stunning dress. The dress was fitted to accentuate her gorgeous figure and gave off a modern Hollywood glam vibe. Meanwhile, Davonte looked dapper in a black suit with a white collar and black tie, channeling his inner John Wick (but even better-looking!).

With no guests in attendance just their undying love for one another, the vows shared between Claire and Davonte were incredibly heartfelt, with tears streaming down their faces as they professed their love to each other against the backdrop of the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains. After the ceremony, the couple enjoyed some fun and carefree moments together, wandering around the area near the rocks and parking lot for some beautiful and fun portraits. Lastly, we slipped back into the cozy fire-drawn room and the couple celebrated their wedding with a toast of bubbly champagne, to which they shared a drink with me. My heart was filled with joy as I saw their faces and smiles, and love forever
