During a family vacation for Kathy & Bob’s Morris Island Lighthouse Couples Session, I got the chance to drive down to Folly Beach with my sister in law’s grandparents and provide them with an amazing couples portrait session. It was a beautiful day, and we had a lot of fun playing in the water and sinking into the wet sand. We walked the long graffiti filled walkway to Morris Island Light House where we were able to splash our way around the area, taking in all of the life, and winds that the beach had to offer us. The light was perfect, and it made everything look even better than it already did (which is saying something). I came here two years ago (2020) to photography a sweet young couple for their small, immediate family and close personal friends’ elopement ceremony. One of my favorite places to visit while in Charleston SC.
If you get those butterflies in your stomach every time you see your partner, that’s a good relationship! So is kissing all the time.
That’s what I love about older couples. They truly know how to keep it all together, through the good, the ugly, and the amazing and magnificent moments in their lives.
It can be tough to have alone time when you’re in a relationship, especially when you have rugrats running around causing pure mayhem (I have a few of these and OH BOY). These two have figured out how to make it work for themselves! It’s important to remember that both people do not need to go on vacation together, but they do need some time alone.
That means that the couple needs to take a break TOGETHER to remember what it was like enjoying each other’s company, being silly in love, and bringing back that romantic aspect that can easily be replaced with many other things.
If you want to be truly successful in love, put your all into it and let the rest fall into place!
Folly Beach Couples Portraits: If you want to be truly successful in love, put your all into it and let the rest fall into place! It’s no secret that when it comes to relationships, we are always looking for ways to make them better. The key is learning how to enjoy the journey along the way. I got some great advice from Nan & Pop Pop, on how they keep a relationship strong and thriving. Can’t mention some things…gotta keep things rated G here, but communication, listening with intent, honestly, faithfulness, and a desire to be with your partner are the major things that helped to keep their relationship strong.
