I met Tia via her wedding planner, Tia is her assistant, when I was on the search for vendors to be associated with. She contacted me due to other photographers being out of price range and I just said “no worries I can work with her budget”. We did a video call to get to know each other a little bit better. That was when she informed me of her small intimate back yard wedding.
This wedding was being held on May 25th 2020 at her wedding planners location. It was beautifully draped with white satin sheets everywhere in the gazebo.
Tia’s wedding a few elements such as the broom (Jumping the broom is a time-honored wedding tradition in which the bride and groom jump over a broom during the ceremony. The act symbolizes a new beginning and a sweeping away of the past, and can also signify the joining of two families or offer a respectful nod to family ancestors.) and the Cord of Three Strands AKA God’s Knot (The cord of three strands ceremony (often called “God’s Knot” or the Unity Braid Ceremony) symbolizes the joining of one man, one woman, and God into a marriage relationship. It adds a truly unique element to your ceremony that friends and family will remember).
The different colors all have different meanings. The gold strand represents God, the purple strand represents the groom, the white represents the bride.
They were full of character and great personality. The entire family was amazing and so much fun.
Congratulations Tia & Keshawn
